Leaders Forum Bangladesh (LFBr is a Global Organization of Leaders & Managers. Great leaders not only inspire and motivate others, but also teach people the skills they need to achieve the goals of a team, company, organization, or project. They help others bring out their best talents and abilities.
The objective of "Leaders Forum Bangladesh (LFB)" is to bring together selected professional leaders under one umbrella to address the challenges our country is facing currently and in the past years. Being non-political, we also aim to create platforms and leadership mechanisms for grassroots-level youth equally both for women and men.
We believe "Learning Never Ends & Leadership Never Dies It took birth as a Facebook group on 13 June 2020 at an overwhelmingly unusual time of global coronavirus pestilence. While Bangladesh and countries beyond its border were consumed by the deadly health crisis, the LFB thrived and has now created a government-registered elephant footprint. With a total strength of 4,000 members including corporate leaders and managers from 23 segments based in Dhaka, Leaders Forum BD (LFB) created a strong global base.
Then, on 12 June 2022, it was registered as an LFB Trust with a robust Board of Trustees. The LFB, as a knowledge center, aims to support the exchange of expertise, proficiency as well as attributes among non-political policymakers, development practitioners, and specialists in the corporate world They will engage with those of other capitals across the world to enrich relevant societies, highlighting the critical roles the corporate leaders from banks, financial
institutions, real estate, and other sunrise industries play in finding strategic solutions to promote inclusive and sustainable socio-economic expansion.
·Future Leaders under its scheme, the LFB runs a hub, or a "factory" named 'LFB Young Leaders Development Program (LYLDP) for grooming and architecting young corporate leaders. The LYLDP has completed the second batch of training and is now working on its placement in selected corporate sectors.
Shaking hands with Bangladesh Doctors Foundation (BDF), the LFB has recently trained to groom its members in communications and office management. Within a short time, the LFB signed 14 Corporate MOU to enhance facilities & privileges for the members, such as Insurance, Health Care, Hospitality, Food, Education, and the like.
The LFB has created a unique meeting place for a community of thinkers, innovators, managers, developers, educators, researchers, trainers, and consultants who enjoy taking challenges for adopting leadership as an additional feather on their cap in existing socially complex organizational contexts.
Founder & President
I am known as Dr. Halida Hanum Akhter. I am a public health professional. My work involves the promotion of wellness among all populations irrespective of age, and sex. or environment. I embrace in myself both hard science and soft skills to achieve my professional goals and demonstrate success.
To respond to diverse community health needs, I use improved communication and population-based views of health. I innovate, implement and lead diversity-focused health programs and communication. I collect and analyze health data to maximize the impact of health interventions and finally, enhance wellness.
In my work to keep people healthy, I needed to learn how to manage teamwork, how solve problems, process relevant health information to reach diverse populations, communicate with multiple groups, create awareness, and finally achieve behavior change.
To achieve all these, I need to learn 'SOFT SKILLS'and all skills listed above are soft skills. Sorry to say that none of my academic institutions taught me these skills. I realized that a magic blend of science and soft skills will esca late anybody's career platform and will take the professional to a higher echelon. I love the quote "you are ignited by your hard academic skills, but you are empowered by adding soft skills.
My awareness of soft skills and mainly leadership skills has obliged me to become a vital part of "Leaders Forum Bangladesh" since its inception. And now that our leadership skill-sharing platform is arranging the "Leadership Excellence Summit", and too for the second time to recognize the young leaders of our country from different sectors, on January 19, 2023, my heart swells with both pride and joy to tell you this. As a member of the Jury Board of LFB, I want to congratulate the winners with all my heart.
Lastly, if you want to be a leader, four things you must practice-you must smile more, listen more, talk more, and praise more. If you want to be a leader, it helps you create a footprint that you leave behind to be traced and followed by others.
Vice President, LFB
My dear fellow Leaders,
I am extremely delighted to say a few words here connected with the grand gala event "LFB Leadership Excellence Summit 2022" which will be held on January 19, 2023. You are aware that we all will recognize some of our great performers across the industries who achieve this award in their own right and through their leadership excellence. As one of the members of "The Grand Jury Board" and also as a member of the "Trustee Board", I would like to congratulate the winners from bottom of my heart. They deserve to be highly appreciated and applauded. I have high hopes for them and for all the fellow member leaders of LFB.
We sometimes say "Leaders are Born" but we also know that "Leaders are created and groomed" through proper nurturing and practices of leadership principles and styles. In addition to personal initiatives, environment, and opportunity always play an important role in building a great Leader. So, a great Leader is built, not born.
Our targets and attentions are towards the young, energetic Leaders who are doing extremely well in the current digital era and under a changeable global socio-economic and political scenario." Leaders Forum Bangladesh" - LFB is strongly committed to working in this area for creating leaders for Bangladesh and abroad. Your all-out support would be required all the time to achieve this noble target.
Lastly, I would like to give my special thanks to all the valued members of the organizing committee, particularly Mr.Khandker Kabir President of Leaders Forum Bangladesh, for taking all the troubles during the last couple of months to make this event a grand success.
